NO NEED TO WORRY WHEN YOU SEEK THE KINGDOM OF GOD

NO NEED TO WORRY WHEN YOU SEEK THE KINGDOM OF GOD

28 And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin:
29 And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.
30 Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?
31 Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?
32 (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.
33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
34 Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof. (Matthew 6:28-34)
What will the year 2019 bring?  If you are trusting in anyone but God, who knows? But as the scripture says in Matthew 6, if you “seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness,” there will be nothing to worry about.  We may not be rich or famous or free from life’s hard knocks, but we will be taken care of by God.
Too many times we are seeking favor in the world, and not thinking about what it means to have favor with God.  If you have read Psalm 103, you know what God’s plans are for you.
The scripture is the place to look to find what God will do for us.  He has plans for all of us, if we will seek Him first.  If we have a bucket list of worry items, this will keep us from knowing His great provisions.
Ninety-nine percent of all the things we worry about never happen.  Worry is a colossal waste of time and energy. Trusting God does not mean that we are to sit idly by, doing nothing.  The proverbs say, “If we don’t work, we don’t eat.”  But, if you have lost your job, God knows it and He will provide a way for you to make it.  I know about God’s provisions, for He has always provided all of my needs.
In the year 2019, join me in learning to trust Him with all of our hearts.  Be ready for God’s blessings to overtake you when you least expect it.  And remember, though God is seldom early, He is never late.
                                    Trusting in God,
