How Important Is Fellowship ?

HOW IMPORTANT IS FELLOWSHIP? 42 And they continued stedfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers. 46 And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart, 47 Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.  Acts 2:42; 46-47             Many people on our world today are very lonely. There are various reasons for this, such as, living alone. But you don’t have to live alone to be lonely. Sometimes circumstances prevent interaction with family members and friends.             Some of my loneliest times came when I had to work at night. Others may have to travel and be away from home to do their job. Regardless of the reason, loneliness is a terrible thing.             Yes, we have God, always with us. And, He has made us to desire fellowship with others. In creation, He said, “It is not good for man to live alone.” So He created woman. When Jesus established the church, one of its main functions was interaction one with another.             In our church some of our best times are when we come together to share a meal and visit with one another. As I walk the halls, there will always be people visiting with one another. And that’s how it ought to be. Some may be unable to come to church and they depend on visits and phone calls for fellowship. We all need to think about others and remember that we all need fellowship. Just as we need God’s fellowship in prayer, we also need to fellowship with one another in God’s love.             All of us can make a difference in the lives of our brothers and sisters who may be lonely by taking time to fellowship with them.                                                                                     Enjoying fellowship with you,                                                                                                             Bro.
